(The full title of the piece shown is "Starlight vs. Belle of the West - Calcutta to Boston - 1863." The captains were brothers and the race ended in a dead heat. Belle could have won easily. However, with no winner or loser and fast times each, it became a victory for both. We are all brothers on this small planet and each of us could benefit greatly from an appreciation of this aspect of this very important and humane race.)
